This RPG is rated Pg-13. If you are by chance under the age of thirteen then you are joining at your own risk and we will not be held responsible for your decision to join.
General;; o Keeping swearing to a minimum. o You may not make racists, sexists, or any offending remarks about or to members out of character. o On the other hand, please do not be over sensitive to wards something someone says to you. If it is really rude or vulgar, then approach an admin or moderator. o This is a wild horse RPG so please do not bring humans into your posts. o Before you can post with a new character, it must be approved by the admin or by moderators. o If you do not post anything, besides your introduction, within a few days of you joining - you will be deleted. o If you do not post within a week of your last post, you will be emailed. If you do not post within 3 days of the sent email you will be deleted. The only exceptions are if you have posted in the absent board or notified the admin on your absence. o Respect. Respect the admins and moderators, respect the members, respect yourself. o Once again, no fighting in ooc. o Your name must be your characters name. No 'horselover56' or the like. o You can have pictures in your signatures, but please, no wider than 500 px, and though there is no height limit, keep it acceptable. 5 pics is just too much, you know. And when you are using pictures, they must not be copyrighted. If you are using a copyrighted picture, it will be removed.
Posting;; o There is now a 130 word count minimum for a post. I understand if you have no muse, then and only then will we allow a 4 lined post. If you are a beginner level writer then please pm the admin or a moderator so that we can help you to improve your quality and quantity of your posts. If after you have pm’d the admin/moderator and they have replied to you, you may post with a min. of 4 lines for only a month, then we expect you to be able to comply with the rules of 130 word count. o No chat speak while posting, unless in ooc of course. [ths is cht spek. how r u my bff. lyke omg, realy?!] o Try to be descriptive. Details, well, we love details. o Use correct grammer, punctuation, and spelling. We have a spell check button! o Post often, post long, post happily. We are here to post, not to sit on our lazy arses.
Claiming;; (mares/territories) o You cannot force a mare to join your herd, she has free will! o You may only have 10 mares in your herd. o You may not claim a territory until you have at least one mare. Until then reside in the Bachelor lands. o You may claim a territory by posting in the area you would like that you have claimed it, or, post a challenge in the in territory and wait for the leader to reply. If the leader responds to your challenge go to Battle Cove and fight for the territory. If he does not reply, with in a week’s time (unless he has posted in the absence board) the territory is yours and the mares with in it unless they choose to leave. Just remember to make a claiming post when it becomes yours.
Fighting;; o Fighting will only take place in Battle Cove. o If you are caught power playing in a battle, you automatically forfeit a hit (a post stating your attack). o Each horse has five hit(attacking) posts, the challenger attacks first. o When you set up your fighting thread make sure it enables a poll above. It will be locked until your fight is over. After the fight is over, the admin will unlock it and other members will vote on who they thought won. The ultimate decision relies on the staff though so impress them. o Only stallions can fight for their territory, not their queens or other mares. o To challenge for a territory, you must first have 2 or more active mares!
Breeding and Foaling;; o There is to be absolutely no graphic breeding in the boards. If you so desire to do breeding of that nature, it is to be kept in private messages and both players must have agreed to it. o There is no force breeding! Period. If you wish to have something intressting happen to your characters then message the admin for permission. If you are denied, then you are denied. You must also have the permission of the other player as well! o You must wait at least 2 real time weeks, this equals one season in Running Hooves time, to foal. o At the foaling grounds, the mare must put her stats and her stallions stats. o Stallions are not allowed in the Foaling forest. o After you have completed the foaling process, the admin or a moderator will come and post your foals stats. o Twins are a rarity in the real world. If the mare does have twins one will usually die. So, my point is that if you wish to have twins, pm the admin or a mod BEFORE you post your foaling. I will not have twenty twins running around this board. If you are not allowed to have twins, your not allowed to have twins. o You or your stallion may play the foal for its entire lifespan or play it for four season (two months in real time) until it is weaned when it will die or run away.
Challenging;; (territories/mares/position) o If you are challenging for a territory, make sure you have at least two active mares! o If you are challenging for a mare or position, post in the territory to mare or other member who has claim of the position you wish and post a challenge like you would if you were fighting (read fighting rules). o Mares can challenge other mares for position, this is the only time a mare may fight. If the mare wants to challenge for queen, then she must ask her king first.
Neutral Wanders;; o Neutral Wander lands cannot be claimed. o These lands are for horses who wish to be herdless but still want a home. o Both darks and lights are allowed on any of these territories. o There are no such things as leaders in these lands. o If you start to create a band of horses you will be expected to claim a territory because you are no longer herdless. o You are not allowed to fight or breed here.
Other Information;; POWER PLAYING: There is some confusion/miscommunications on power playing.
1) Powerplaying is a bad thing. You cannot say 'My horse fell on top of your horse' or 'my horse killed that horse'.
2) When fighting this is what you do: 'My horse aimed a hard kick at the other horse's barrel' not 'My horse kicked the other horse in the barrel'. The owner of the 'other horse' decides whether her horse get's kicked or not like: 'the kick hit directly in the barrel, knocking the air out of my horse' or 'my horse dodged the kick'. Don't keep dodging, please. It's NOT FAIR TO THE OTHER PEOPLE.
Just a reminder for fighting...
A horses' hooves are NOT sharp. You cannot cut someone open with them. People get the idea that you can when they are called daggers and knifes.
When a horse rears, a common move by the another horse is running into the stomach. NOT a good idea. You would actually hurt your self more than the other horse. Sure. you may knock the wind out of it, but you'd get worst injuries. Also, going for the knees makes it an unfair fight.
If you have any questions concerning the rules, either pm the admin/moderators or go and post a thread in the gnereal board under question and comments. And the most important rule of all... HAVE FUN!
